Hydrophobic Protection for Textiles I1 Smart Fabric Gtechniq protects all types of fabrics from water-based stains. It is breathable and extremely durable, thanks to Gtechniq's unique scientific formula.

I1 makes ordinary fabrics waterproof and easy to clean. Use it to prevent soaking, swelling, or rotting of any fabric. Ideal for use on the roof or interior of your convertible car.

Smart Fabric is safe for color. The nanoparticles that make up I1 Smart Fabric coat each individual fiber of the fabric, leaving the texture unaffected while allowing the material to breathe. This means that stale air can still escape while simultaneously repelling water and oil-based liquids.

Ultra Hydrophobic

Even more hydrophobic than its predecessor, I1 Smart Fabric V2 leaves no drip marks, and moisture simply falls off the coated surface. Laboratory tests reveal that I1 V2 repels water to the highest standard set by the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC) – ISO 5. And wash tests show that the product remains at peak performance after being washed on a 40-degree cycle, and even after five washes, it still performs better than its predecessor.

On average, I1 will last inside a car between 6 and 12 months – depending on how “used” the surface is. On convertible roofs, the product will last up to 2 years.

Simple Steps to Help You Achieve the Best Results

• If using on an interior surface, use I2 TriClean to prepare the surface you are about to treat
• For exterior use, use W5 Citrus All Purpose Cleaner neat for dirty surfaces or dilute at a 5:1 ratio with water for less dirty areas.
• Ensure that the surface you have cleaned is well dried (for best results, 48 hours in good drying conditions) before applying I1 Smart Fabric. For optimal impregnation of I1 into the fabric, its moisture content must be below 15%, which is significantly drier than touch dry.
• Shake well before use and wear gloves
• Apply at a temperature of 5°C or higher, in a well-ventilated area
• Use away from direct sunlight
• Apply by spraying evenly from a distance of about 15 cm, ensuring complete saturation of the surface you are covering.
• Ensure your application is complete, as once Smart Fabric has dried, you cannot apply a second coat, as the first coat will repel any additional product.
• Avoid excessive spraying on surrounding substrates; if this occurs, wipe immediately with a multi-purpose microfiber cloth MF1 ZeroR. Also, wipe any excess from the fabric with an MF1
• Allow to dry for 24 hours, after which full product effectiveness will be achieved
• Store in a cool, dry place
• Use within 12 months of opening
